The dishwasher is loosing some cleaning power recently. We had an old dishwasher that had a cleanable filter that needed to be checked periodically. I've read through the installation and owner's manuals and there is no mention of a filter. There is a screen at the water inlet fitting, but it's pretty hard to get to. All I can do is take the water supply off and bang on the inlet to try to clean the screen. It doesn't seem to be helping the loss of cleaning. Is that the only filter or screen there is?? Or am I missing something obvious. Thanks in advance.

I know that it is very frustrating to have problems with your dishwasher. When the dishwasher stops clean like normal, this indicates that the dishwasher may have debris in the system. It is most likely that this is in the sump pump, but it could be due to a dirty filter, or the chopper blade could be damaged. This debris will not drain from the system. Below I have include instruction on how to access these parts. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
