The resistance readings for a GE dryer coil are shown in the image below. The reading you get are not far off. Do you not get any flame at all when the flame sensor opens and directs voltage to the coils?

I get flame, but only the first time once it shuts off it dose not resend gas to the burner. Then the igniter just cycles, and glows. Im running it on propane and have checked the tank, my water heaters work just fine. the temp sensor on the back wall reads 114.7K ohms. should it be shorted when not heated? Thanks Jeff

If the ignitor continues to cycle on and off then the thermostat is okay. The problem will be either the coils or valve. The coils would be the most likely cause of the problem. It is difficult but when the unit stops heating have you tried to quickily check the coils and see if they are the same readings when it cold. I'd suggest the coils first since they are the cheapest.

It was the coils, they must open up when heated. Thanks for your help.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
