It can be pretty frustrating to have a new product acting up so soon. The Managemylife web site is a good resource to find out what may be happening with your Garage Door Opener. I did some research for you at Managemylife.com and found an excellent article that also has multiple expert answers at the bottom of the web page that addresses the most common questions that have been asked by other members. I hope this will help until your expert can answer your specific question. I attached the link below.

This problem is often caused by a staple that has cut through the insulation on the wires going to the wall control. You can easily eliminate this possibility by removing the wire from terminal #1 on the rear of the opener. This will eliminate both the wiring and the wall control. It could be the wall control that is bad.

What Don is suggesting is very possible and we see that sort of thing pretty often. Give that a look over and see what happens. If the problem still happens with the wire taken off the #1 terminal then remove the batteries from the outside keypad and see if the problem goes away.

If the problem remains with the wire off #1 and the batteries out of the keypad then make sure to check for any stuck buttons on the remotes. If the problem still occurs then the logic board has a very serious fault and it will need to be replaced.

Let me know what you find. Thank you for using Manage My Life!

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
